Avenue of the Baobabs

Welcome to Madagascar! Along a quiet dirt road near the town of Morondava stands a row of enormous baobab trees, some more than 800 years old. Locals call them Renala, or "mother of the forest," and at sunset their huge round trunks glow gold against the sky.
