Welcome to southern Africa! Victoria Falls is one of the largest waterfalls on Earth, with mist that rises like smoke.

Why is it famous?

Local people call it "Mosi-oa-Tunya," which means "the smoke that thunders."

The Zambezi River plunges over a cliff formed by cracks in ancient volcanic rock.
