The Kremlin 3D
Welcome to the Kremlin in Moscow, Russia! This massive fortress, ringed by thick red-brick walls and topped with pointed towers, has watched over the heart of the city for hundreds of years.
Why is it famous?
The Kremlin is a huge fortified complex of palaces, cathedrals, and towers surrounded by red-brick walls almost 1.5 miles long.
Its skyline of golden and green domes, pointed towers, and one very tall bell tower makes it one of the most recognizable sights in Russia.
How was it built?
A wooden fort first stood on this spot as early as 1156, but the Kremlin's famous red-brick walls and 20 towers were built at the end of the 1400s.
Ruler Ivan the Great invited skilled Italian builders to Moscow to help design the fortress, blending Russian and Italian building styles together.
