Park Güell 3D
Welcome to Spain! Park Güell is a magical hillside park in Barcelona full of curvy buildings, colorful mosaic tiles, and playful shapes that look like they came straight out of a fantasy story.
Why is it famous?
It was designed by the famous architect Antoni Gaudí, known for his wildly imaginative, curvy buildings.
The park is covered in trencadís, a mosaic technique made from broken pieces of colorful tile and ceramic.
How was it formed?
It was originally planned as a fancy housing development in the early 1900s, but the idea didn't sell, so the city turned it into a public park instead.
Gaudí shaped walkways, columns, and benches to flow like nature, avoiding straight lines wherever he could.
Quick facts
- The park's giant mosaic lizard, nicknamed 'El Drac,' is one of the most photographed spots in Barcelona.
- A long, curving bench covered in colorful mosaics wraps around the main terrace, offering sweeping views of the city.
